Guadalupe County commissioners voted 5-0 on Nov. 3 to request that Seguin annex the county-maintained Huber Road segment between Rudeloff and Cordova roads. The county’s action approved a request to the city; the vote did not itself annex the road.

The request concerns the county-maintained part of Huber Road between Rudeloff Road and Cordova Road. For people who use that stretch, the distinction matters: the recorded county vote establishes what commissioners asked Seguin to do, while any city action requires its own record.

What the county approved

The Huber Road request was item 5.F in a consent block covering items 5.A through 5.F. Commissioners approved that block together, on a motion by Stephen Germann and a second by Jacqueline Ott, with five ayes and no nays. The minutes cite Texas Local Government Code Section 43.1055 in the Huber Road item.

The minutes were filed Nov. 4. Readers can inspect the county’s recorded request in the Nov. 3 Commissioners Court minutes. A Seguin council agenda, minutes or annexation ordinance is the next record to check for whether the city takes up the request and what it decides.
