Residents can follow three scheduled local government meetings this week: New Berlin planning commissioners on Nov. 2, Seguin City Council on Nov. 3 and Schertz transportation advisers on Nov. 5.

The posted business could affect land development in New Berlin, zoning and truck routes in Seguin, and neighborhood traffic safety in Schertz. The three records describe upcoming meetings and proposals, not adopted actions. Each meeting’s posted record offers the place to check its business before attending.

From the source record

Three posted local-government meeting dates for the week of Nov. 1, 2026.Times and locations appear in the meeting sections below.

Monday: New Berlin land-development proposals

New Berlin’s Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to meet Monday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 9180 FM 775, La Vernia. The posted agenda lists a DMK development agreement, an annexation petition and a Unit 1 preliminary plat for possible recommendations. Those are separate steps in a proposed development; the agenda does not establish that the commission recommended or approved any of them. Residents who want to speak are instructed to sign up before the meeting. The New Berlin Planning and Zoning agenda identifies the scheduled subjects and participation instruction.

The commission also has ordinance and comprehensive-plan review on its schedule. The posted business gives residents a chance to follow how the development questions and broader planning rules are presented, while any recommendation or later city action must be checked against an outcome record. The next verification point for these proposals is the Nov. 2 session.

Tuesday: Seguin zoning, trucks and city agreements

Seguin City Council is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, with the listing describing a public and virtual meeting. Two proposed zoning matters are set for hearings and first readings: roughly 1.7 acres on Willmann Road from agricultural-ranch to rural-residential zoning, and 634 S. Goodrich Street from single-family residential to public zoning. A hearing or first reading is an opportunity for council consideration, not proof of final adoption. The Seguin meeting listing supplies the date, place and public-virtual format.

Council’s posted business also includes a proposed through-truck restriction on Rudeloff Road between FM 78 and State Highway 46. Drivers and people along that corridor have a direct reason to watch whether the proposal advances and what any adopted restriction says. Other listed matters include a utility agreement with Guadalupe County Municipal Utility District No. 3, a bridge-inspection agreement, hotel-occupancy-tax funding agreements and a proposed library-fee ordinance. The listing does not supply a result for the Nov. 3 session; the next verification point is the council’s meeting record.

Thursday: Schertz neighborhood traffic questions

The Schertz Transportation Safety Advisory Commission is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Hal Baldwin Municipal Complex, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Building 4. Its agenda includes traffic updates for Ashley Park, speed humps at Crest Oak and Golden Oak, a sightline concern at FM 1518 and safety near Rose Garden Elementary School. These are scheduled updates and discussion subjects; the posting alone establishes no new traffic measure at any of those places. The Schertz transportation commission agenda gives the location and the full list of posted business.

Commissioners are also scheduled to consider a proposed purchase of Urban SDK traffic-count software. The agenda provides a public chance to follow the proposal alongside the neighborhood safety topics. It calls for speaker registration for the resident hearing and suggests a five-minute limit. Readers can use the posted Schertz agenda to inspect those instructions before attending. The next verification point is the Nov. 5 session and its ensuing official record.
