An unofficial Guadalupe Appraisal District summary lists different 2026 school tax-rate paths for Seguin, Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City, Navarro and Marion ISDs.

SCUC’s listed rate is 12 cents higher per $100 of taxable value than its 2025 rate, while Navarro’s is lower, Marion’s is higher and Seguin’s is unchanged.

From the source record

Four school districts’ listed 2026 rates, per $100 of taxable value. The graphic compares rates, not individual tax bills.

A rate change alone does not establish a homeowner’s bill; taxable value and exemptions also affect the amount owed. The comparison is useful for seeing the direction of each district’s listed rate, but it is not a calculation of what any household will pay.

How the listed rates changed

The 2025 comparison rates were $1.0828 for Seguin ISD, $1.0769 for SCUC ISD, $1.2228 for Navarro ISD and $1.1199 for Marion ISD, each per $100 of taxable value. The table compares those figures with the appraisal district’s Oct. 15 listing; the changes are arithmetic differences between its two columns.

District20252026 listedChange
Seguin ISD$1.0828$1.0828$0.0000
SCUC ISD$1.0769$1.1969+$0.1200
Navarro ISD$1.2228$1.1687−$0.0541
Marion ISD$1.1199$1.1540+$0.0341

Changes are calculated from the two rates listed by the appraisal district; the 2026 summary is unofficial.

Two elections still matter

The appraisal district summary flags tax-rate elections for Seguin and SCUC ISDs. It says SCUC’s total would revert to $1.0769 per $100 if its election fails, compared with the listed $1.1969 rate. That possible reversion is an election scenario, not a result.

Seguin ISD’s election notice sets a Nov. 3 vote on Proposition A at a $1.0828 rate and lists early voting from Oct. 19 through Oct. 30. The district’s listed 2026 rate matches its 2025 comparison rate, but voters have not decided the proposition in the records reviewed for this story.

What to check next

The next public check is the Nov. 3 election result and subsequent official district rate records; those will establish which election-dependent rates apply. Readers can compare the appraisal district’s rate summary with Seguin ISD’s Proposition A notice while awaiting the canvassed results.
