Guadalupe County commissioners will consider asking Seguin to annex the county-maintained stretch of Huber Road between Rudeloff Road and Cordova Road on Nov. 3.

The proposed Huber Road request concerns the county-maintained section between Rudeloff Road and Cordova Road. Residents can inspect the proposed request in the Nov. 3 agenda before the court decides whether to send it to the city.

From the source record

Nov. 3 meeting agendaProposed Huber Road request
request the City of Seguin annex the County-maintained portion of Huber Road between Rudeloff Road and Cordova Road.
Guadalupe County Commissioners Court ↗
The posted agenda proposes a request to Seguin; it records no Nov. 3 decision.

The agenda describes that stretch of Huber Road as county-maintained. Asking Seguin to annex it would be a county request, not annexation by itself. The posted item gives residents a specific road segment to watch, but the agenda alone does not establish which government would maintain it after any future annexation.

Emergency projects and testing costs

Commissioners are also scheduled to receive an update on project timelines and possible American Rescue Plan Act funding effects. That discussion concerns the Emergency Operations Center and Emergency Response Center projects. Residents following those public facilities can use the project update to hear what schedule and funding changes, if any, officials present at the meeting.

A separate proposal lists $15,382 for Emergency Operations Center testing and $15,770 for Emergency Response Center testing. Those are proposed change-order amounts for added materials testing, not recorded approvals. Another item proposes reallocating contingency funds through change orders for the two emergency projects. The court’s discussion and any later action will determine what moves forward.

Contracts, development and county administration

The consent portion lists county and PCA bill payments, an indigent-defense grant resolution and a courthouse Christmas-lights agreement. Those items appear alongside the proposed emergency-project contingency reallocation and Huber Road request; their placement on the agenda does not establish how commissioners will dispose of them.

Other scheduled business includes an inmate phone and video-visitation request for proposals and a renewal of jail psychiatric services. The court will also take up a Luling Foundation appointment, service-organization letters and deadlines for submitting items to 2027 agendas. For residents tracking county services, the contract and deadline items identify decisions to check in the eventual meeting record.

The development portion lists a McQueeney Oaks maintenance bond and the Lantana Unit 2 final plat. A radio budget amendment and a capital-projects bill list complete the numbered business items. The posted titles identify the subjects for consideration; they do not supply a final vote or the full terms of each supporting document.

How residents can participate and follow the record

The Commissioners Court meeting is scheduled for Nov. 3, 2026, at 10 a.m.; the notice was posted at the Guadalupe County Justice Center, 211 West Court Street, and lists Zoom meeting ID 351 037 7057 with passcode 638728. The agenda places citizens to be heard near the beginning of the meeting and later lists public events. Residents who want to speak should consult the official meeting notice for the court’s participation instructions.

The meeting opens with a call to order, pledges and prayer, and closes with adjournment. The notice also schedules executive-session topics involving legal and real-property matters; any final action on those matters must be checked against the public meeting record rather than inferred from the notice. After Nov. 3, the county’s agendas, minutes and video portal is the reader’s route to verify motions, votes and any follow-up on Huber Road or the emergency projects.
