Three posted agendas put school construction, campus plans and Schertz Main Street changes before local officials during the week of Oct. 26.

Navarro ISD trustees meet Monday, Seguin ISD trustees Tuesday, and the Schertz Main Street Committee Thursday. The listed actions remain proposals until the bodies act.

The posted Navarro ISD agenda identifies the first of three meetings in this week-ahead guide.

Families and residents can follow the proposed school and corridor decisions at three public meetings from Monday through Thursday. The largest school construction question on the posted schedules is Navarro's proposed next step for a junior-high expansion. Seguin's agenda includes campus improvement objectives, while Schertz's committee is due to revisit the Main Street corridor and its grant program.

Monday: Navarro ISD bond projects

Navarro ISD trustees are scheduled to meet Monday, Oct. 26, at 6 p.m. in the Intermediate School Cafeteria, 588 Link Road, Seguin. The posted agenda says people wishing to speak during public comment must sign up before the meeting is called to order.

Navarro's agenda places bond-project contract steps before trustees for possible action Monday. Its consent business proposes ranking construction-manager-at-risk firms for the 2026 bond junior-high expansion and possibly delegating contract negotiations. Trustees also have a schematic design for that expansion before them. A bond update covers the district's 2021, 2024 and 2026 programs; an update is a presentation, while the listed contract and design steps are proposed actions.

Other proposed Navarro actions include buying four general-education buses, furniture for Navarro South Elementary, a budget amendment and library materials. Trustees may also act on 2026–27 superintendent and board goals, a third reading of the EIC local policy update and an application for a LASO 5 grant. Residents tracking the expansion can use the agenda to identify the specific design and procurement proposals before the board.

Tuesday: Seguin ISD campus objectives

Seguin ISD trustees are scheduled to meet Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 6 p.m. in the board room at 1221 E. Kingsbury, Seguin. The agenda instructs public commenters to sign up before the meeting and lists a five-minute speaking limit.

Seguin trustees may approve the 2026–27 campus improvement plan performance objectives. They may also amend the CFB(LOCAL) capitalization threshold; the posted agenda identifies the proposed policy action but does not itself establish an adopted threshold. Consent business includes October budget amendments and revised board operating procedures.

The board is also due to receive a bilingual and ESL program evaluation with TELPAS results, along with September financial information and purchase orders over $50,000. Those reports give families and taxpayers specific program and spending subjects to follow alongside the proposed approvals.

Thursday: Schertz Main Street

The Schertz Main Street Committee is scheduled to meet Thursday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. in the Hal Baldwin Municipal Complex Council Chambers, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Building 4. The agenda says residents who want to speak during its Hearing of Residents should register before the meeting; it lists a three-minute presentation limit.

Members are set to receive a Main Street Improvement Project status update and discuss public use of corridor spaces and trees. They may give direction on modifications to the Local Flavor Economic Grant Program. Direction on a proposal would still leave any later implementation to be established by subsequent records.

The Schertz packet includes draft minutes from Aug. 12, 2025, recording an earlier project update and grant eligibility discussion. Those draft minutes provide background for Thursday's business, not a decision made this week. The committee is also scheduled to consider approval of those minutes.

What to check next

The next public records to check are the Oct. 26 and 27 school board minutes and the Schertz committee minutes or a later posted update. Residents can inspect the Navarro bond proposals in the Monday agenda, the Seguin campus and policy proposals in the Tuesday agenda, and the Main Street topics in the Thursday agenda before attending.
