Guadalupe County commissioners approved a budget transfer for three mobile and five portable radios on Nov. 3. The move shifts funds from controlled assets to capital equipment in the Fire Code Fund and Fire Marshal EMC budget, according to the court’s minutes.

The approved transfer moves existing fire-related budget funds toward radio equipment; it does not itself establish a change in service for residents. The minutes record a 5-0 vote on Budget Amendment 27-11. They describe a transfer between budget categories, rather than an additional appropriation.

From the source record

Commissioners Court minutes · Nov. 3, 2026Budget Amendment 27-11

The Nov. 3 minutes describe the transfer under action item 6.I and record its approval, 5-0.

The distinction matters when reading a county budget action: approval to move money into a capital-equipment category is not a record that the radios have been bought or put into use. The minutes identify three mobile radios and five portable radios, but give no dollar figure in the text of item 6.I.

The next useful check is the amendment’s supporting document and a later purchasing or equipment record, which could establish the amount and timing. Residents can inspect item 6.I in the Nov. 3 minutes to verify the stated purpose and vote.
