Marion received $47,817.02 in the October 2026 city sales-tax allocation, up 23.35% from October 2025, while New Berlin received $14,836.02, down 2.42%. The Guadalupe.News extraction of the Comptroller’s city data shows a much smaller increase for nearby Santa Clara: $3,097.32, up 2.01%.

Residents can compare the October revenue sent to seven Guadalupe-area city governments, but the citywide totals for Schertz and Selma cannot be assigned to Guadalupe County alone. Those cities cross county lines, so their payment figures describe each whole city.

From the source record

October 2026 sales-tax allocations to three smaller Guadalupe-area cities, from a Guadalupe.News extraction of Texas Comptroller data. The table below includes all seven cities and their October 2025 comparisons.

What each city received

Marion received $38,765.24 in October 2025; New Berlin received $15,204.71. The table compares that same month with October 2026 for all seven cities in the official 21-row data acquisition.

Schertz$1,677,914.45$3,275,811.56−48.77%

Selma and Schertz city totals include territory outside Guadalupe County. Figures are a Guadalupe.News extraction of Texas Comptroller data.

Cibolo’s payment was $637,900.49, up 1.18%, while Selma’s was $750,534.40, up 0.12%. The larger Seguin and Schertz totals are included for comparison: Seguin rose 3.99% and Schertz fell 48.77% from October 2025. These are changes in city allocations, not a measure of spending by Guadalupe County residents alone.

What the payment measures

A city allocation is sales-tax revenue the state distributes to a municipality. The October report generally reflects taxable sales made about two months earlier, so its month label is the payment month rather than a real-time reading of October purchases. The figures alone do not identify why a city’s payment changed or establish a change in city services.

The Comptroller’s next monthly allocation data will provide the next comparison point for residents tracking city revenue. The city-level figures and their prior-year counterparts can be checked in the published allocation dataset.
