From the source record

Recorded council outcome · Oct. 20Commercial collection franchises approved
The council approved a resolution granting five-year, non-exclusive commercial solid waste and recycling collection franchise agreements to Alamo Disposal, Apache Disposal, Republic Services, Texas Disposal System, Tiger Sanitation, Waste Management and Waste Connections, effective Jan. 1, 2027.

The verified outcome for Oct. 20 agenda item 7.D records the approval and effective date.

Commercial customers in Seguin will have seven city-authorized firms for waste and recycling collection under the approved franchises. The authorization is nonexclusive, so the decision does not assign the whole commercial market to one company. The city’s agenda identifies the measure as item 7.D, file 26-451, and limits it to commercial collection within city limits.

The reviewed outcome establishes the firms, the five-year term and the Jan. 1 start. It does not establish what an individual commercial customer will pay. Businesses checking their options can use the city’s meeting page to inspect the decision and its listed attachments as the start date approaches.
