If approved, the release would change the ETJ status of property ID 70461 along Nickerson Farm Road. The proposed resolution identifies the 2.17-acre parcel in the Peter D. Smith Survey.

Seguin City Council is scheduled to consider releasing a 2.17-acre Nickerson Farm Road parcel from the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction on Nov. 3. The draft directs city staff to amend Seguin’s official maps and says the resolution would take effect Nov. 4. Those provisions are proposed; the document does not record a council decision.

The proposed resolution identifies property ID 70461 and directs a map change if adopted.

Property owner Chester Davis requested the release. In an Oct. 19 staff memo, Seguin’s Planning & Codes department says it verified that the petition meets the requirements of the state law governing landowner requests for ETJ release. Staff recommends granting the request.

Council’s Nov. 3 session is listed for 5:30 p.m. Residents can inspect the parcel identifier and the proposed map direction in the resolution. The next record to check is the council’s action: approval would determine whether this proposed change takes effect.
