Seguin City Council approved a Rudelof Road through-truck restriction on first reading Nov. 3.

The proposed restriction covers Rudelof Road between FM 78 and SH 46. The action moves the ordinance forward, but does not establish that the restriction has been finally enacted. The city’s Nov. 3 agenda identifies the proposal as item 8D.

From the source record

First-reading actionRudelof Road through-truck restriction
The City Council approved on first reading an ordinance amending the code to restrict through truck traffic on Rudelof Road from FM 78 to SH 46.
City of Seguin verified meeting review ↗
The Nov. 3 action was a first-reading approval, not final enactment.

What the ordinance would change

The proposal would make existing no-through-truck signs on that road segment enforceable through a city-code restriction. The agenda identifies Chapter 98, Section 98-40, as the provision to be amended. Council approved the measure on first reading after a motion by Council Member Levens and a second by Council Member Napier, according to the verified meeting review. That review describes a voice vote; it does not turn a first reading into final adoption.

What comes next

The next record to check is Seguin’s second-reading agenda and the resulting ordinance action. Those records will establish whether council adopts the restriction and what effective date or exceptions the final text provides. Readers can use the Nov. 3 agenda to identify item 8D while following the ordinance through its next public step.
