Austin Street will close from Court Street to Washington Street for Seguin’s Pecan Fest on Saturday, Oct. 24, according to the city.
The downtown festival at Central Park runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., so people driving through the center of Seguin should allow for a change in their route.

Drivers should plan around the downtown Austin Street closure, and festivalgoers can use a free shuttle linking Central Park, the Big Red Barn and Sebastopol House. The city’s full schedule lists the shuttle from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., although an earlier paragraph in the same notice says service runs until 4 p.m.
The city lists music on Nolte Street, food trucks, children’s activities and a pecan shelling contest downtown. The Big Red Barn and Sebastopol House also have activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The city gives the Austin Street closure limits but does not give separate closure and reopening times; the festival hours should not be treated as road-closure hours.
Before heading out, residents can check the city’s Pecan Fest notice for the event schedule, site locations and the latest posted shuttle details. The shuttle’s listed end time needs clarification because the notice gives both 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
